About

Greetings cybercrawlers and welcome to misc. mash (I know … first line and you’re already sensing a whiff of stilton!  Well, it’s quite original on Google anyway!)

This humble weblog is a way of expressing and sharing my ramblings – for what they’re worth – on a range of cultural stimuli such as marketing (including advertising and brand design in particular), aesthetics (in the broadest sense), style (fashion and anything cool basically), health (with a leaning towards food and nutrition) and anything in-between

Granted the last one is a little out of sync with the others perhaps, but hopefully I’ll have a few twinsumers out there who appreciate this mash up all the same.  In fact, if you’re really unlucky, I also might throw in the occasional random comment on music and technology from time-to-time is that’s okay – when the acronym police aren’t looking

As for myself, I’m a marketing person by trade who prefers to station himself around the kingdom of cultural insight.  In my moments of grandeur and delusion I occasionally like to think of myself as being something in between a cultural branding historian and brand futurist, but then I wake up and realise that I’m just another outlook-word-powerpoint bod.  In short though my message is simple: I believe that brands need to explore the pond in order to go forward rather than simply always trying to dissect the proverbial fish

Feel free to take a look around and then, if you’re really delluded, you can always add me to your ‘sad-blogger-who-writes-cheesy-annoying-posts-but-is-occassionally-worth-laughing-at-from-time-to-time’ folder
